Paul LeClerc, a scholar of the French Enlightenment, retired in June 2011 from his position as president of the New York Public Library, where he had served admirably since 1993. To mark this occasion, on April 29, 2011, Paul LeClerc and Bruno Racine, president of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, engaged in a wide-ranging conversation about the future of libraries in the digital age.
