Revitalized Maison Française Advisory Board has Added Ten New Members in Six Months

The Columbia Maison Francaise is honored to announce the election of Paul LeClerc as the new Chair of its Advisory Board. Paul LeClerc has been the President of The New York Public Library since 1993. He earned his Ph.D. with distinction in French literature from Columbia University in 1969, and is a specialist of the French Enlightenment.

Dr. LeClerc is joining Shanny Peer, who became Director of the Maison Française in September 2009, in leading a distinguished Advisory Board that has been revitalized by the addition of nine new members over the past six months. The new members are: French Consul General Philippe Lalliot, Robert O. Paxton, Bernard Laleuf, Charles E.M. Kolb, Christine Ourmières, Thierry Simon, Pierre-Jean de Filippis, Renaud Dutreil, Edouard Tétreau, and Adam Gopnik. Click here for the full press release.
